“Rich Dad Poor Dad” (by Robert Kiyosaki) has had an interesting effect on cities worldwide. As the book became more popular, and was followed by the game, clubs sprung up that not only play the game, but also discuss its strategies and how they apply to real-life.
The clubs are great places to meet others that have read “Rich Dad Poor Dad” and discuss financial theory. They are full-on social events, with drinks, small talk, and refreshments. However, the similarity between them and a regular party ends there.
The main focus of a Cashflow 101 party is to play Cashflow 101. Strategies are discussed, with variations debated, and the actual game played. Some clubs have tournaments, and others just a play the game for fun. Also, variants are attempted, usually by changing how much items cost or how often paydays come up. Players are sometimes even ranked and games played between those of approximately the same skill level. There are local masters, and some that are asked for rules clarifications when disputes arise.
In short, everything that you like about Cashflow, and you just hit the mother lode.
However, Cashflow 101 isn’t the only thing that happens at a Cashflow 101 party. “Rich Dad Poor Dad” is of course, especially when a number of new people join at the same time. Even those almost bored by the book get into the discussions, which can become heated. Discussions of an economic nature happen a lot, especially as the people are there to become better financially, and by discussing things they can better allow for what happens in either their business or private investments.
